A range of round bottom and self-standing cryogenic vials for storing biological material at temperatures as low as -196°C. These should only be used in the vapor phase of liquid nitrogen. The tubes have thick walls, making them almost unbreakable, yet retain excellent clarity for sample visibility. The ribbed caps have a super fast thread design that allows tightening or removal with a mere 1⁄4 turn.

The tubes and caps are both manufactured from polypropylene, with the same coefficient of expansion, which further enhances the leakproof qualities of these cryovials at changing temperatures. Tubes are provided with a white marking area for sample identification, can be color coded by using a Capinsert™ and are compatible with most storage systems. The round bottom vials can be centrifuged and the self-standing vials have universal locking bases. Vials are sterilized by gamma radiation and are packaged in unique tamperproof, resealable, safety-lock bags of 100. Vials are also autoclavable. Capinserts® are sold separately.
