OTF5000 Cryostat
The Bright OTF5000 Cryostat is based on the long-established and reliable OTF/AS Cryostat, and incorporates improved user ergonomics, the latest blade systems and the ever-reliable and powerful 5040 microtome. A huge choice of options plus money-saving package deals makes the range of OTF5000 cryostats absolutely unique. They are suitable for an endless range of applications and, in the correct configuration, are capable of cutting a wide diversity of specimens from undecalcified bone to brain, resins, plastics and plant tissue, as well as more usual soft tissue. The OTF 5000 allows full anti-roll plate adjustment for perfect results coupled with flexible temperature control and long lasting temperature stability.
The OTF5000 incorporates a ‘quick freeze’ plate. This quick freeze can accommodate 5 x 22mm diameter object holders and 4 x 37mm object holders in the positions provided. The temperature of the freeze bar is at or below the set chamber temperature (typically 10°C lower than the chamber temperature) and is useful for storage or precooling of knives etc. The OTF5000 Cryostats are available in 3 configurations, and each unit is a step up from the Standard model.
